Automotive Seating End-of-Line (EOL) Testers
Our standard EOL tester architecture consists of an Allen Bradley CPU for testing of seat hardware functions, and a PC for storing of test data and communication with seat electronic control units (ECU) / modules. Our standard testers are designed to test the following:
- Seat motor function - seat track, seat recliner, seat cushion, and seat headrest motors
- Set seat shipping position of all adjustable features
- Seat track position sensor
- Seatbelt switch
- Seatbelt tension sensor
- Seat heating / cooling climate control system
- Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS)
- Airbag circuit
- Pretensioner circuit
- Lumbar option - manual or power
- Component verification
- Short-to-ground test for all conductors
The testers can also be setup to perform the following tasks:
- Communicate with a seat build line or shipping conveyor to receive the seat present signal, and seat build ticket information, and send the cycle complete signal with Passed / Failed information.
- Store all seat test results at the tester for a predetermined number of seats.
- Communicate with the customer's Lot Trace System (LTS) to receive seat information and send seat test information.
Automotive Seating Rework Stations
Our rework stations are designed to allow the rework of seating that has failed the EOL function test process. The stations include the following:
- Welded steel tube frame construction painted to our customer's specifications, with task lighting and operator cooling fans.
- Allen Bradley CPU controls package.
- Seat holding tooling that allows for the operator to manipulate the seat for access to assemble and disassemble all seat components.
- Torque tools, with or without position sensing, for seat assembly and disassembly.
- Seat function testing once a seat has been repaired.
- Communication with the customers LTS to determine what items need to be repaired per seat, and send the LTS the seat repair torque values for seat fasteners, seat test data, and seat Passed / Failed information.
Palletized Conveyor Build Lines
Our conveyor systems have been built for final and sub assembly build lines as well as test loops for a wide range of products. The conveyors have included the following:
- Palletized build line conveyors per the customers specifications (AMC, Bosch, Tekno, etc.).
- Allen Bradley CPU controls package.
- RFID pallet tracking
- Torque tools with position sensing and 100% torque verification.
- Crimping, rivet forming, and pressing operations with automatic component feeding.
- Full function testing of each assembly before unloading.
- Communication with the customer's Lot Trace System (LTS) to receive product information and send torque, and function test information.
Automotive Interior Headliner Assembly Tables
Our assembly tables are designed to perform a variety of operations. The tables can be designed to be manually operated, or fully automated depending on the customer's production requirements. The tables include the following:
- Manually dispensing, or fully automated dispensing of adhesive to either the headliner or components to be attached to the headliner.
- Manually operated or fully automated pivot mechanisms to rotate head impact components, air ducts, wire harnesses, etc. into location on the backside of headliner. The pivots then apply wet out pressure to each individual component for a predetermined amount of time before releasing to be opened.
- Torque tools with torque verification for attaching various headliner components (coat hooks, grab handles, etc.).
- End-of-line testing of headliner assembly.
- Manual or powered work height adjustment.
- Part eject mechanisms.
